Ryan Peters is the founder of Lady Justice Press and author of LEFT. He began his career in law enforcement in 2001 with the Long Beach, and then Newport Police Departments. With over twenty years of experience, he has worked as a Field Training Officer, SWAT Operator, Robbery/Homicide Detective, Patrol Sergeant, SWAT Team Commander, Internal Affairs Investigator, Robbery Homicide Sergeant, Lieutenant, Area Commander, and Traffic Commander.

His leadership in several high-profile cases such as Peter Chadwick, Nancy Hammour, and the John Meehan (Dirty John) homicides led to features in 48 hours, 20/20, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, LA Times, and several others—garnering the attention of True Crime enthusiasts.

Above all else, Ryan is a husband and father of four. He is an athletic coach for his kids, and loves helping the boys sharpen their gun and bow skills throughout the year. He lives a healthy lifestyle—running, adventure racing, playing golf, and spending quality time with the family.
